About Us

Dr. Tipton graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a BA degree and attended the University of Tennessee Medical Units in Memphis to earn a DDS degree from the College of Dentistry in 1976. After an intense 1½ year associate ship with Dr. Richard Hawk in Lenoir City, Dr. Tipton began his private practice in Jefferson City in 1978.

"These have been good years for my wife Georgene and me. We raised our daughters, Sarah and Lisa here enjoying the beautiful lakes, rivers, the nearby beautiful mountains we all love to visit, in the close proximity to Knoxville, Morristown, and the Sevierville area. But best of all are the people. You meet an outstanding cross-section of people here. Farmers, miners, college professors from Carson Newman College, policemen, firemen, business people, medical doctors, nurses, and hospital employees, good kids and great school teachers. It is just a great place to work and live. You can't have this diversity in a big city."

While in practice, Dr. Tipton has engaged in over 2000 hours of continuing education and is presently a member of:
